Located between Denver and Boulder, Colo. with a population of approximately 67,000, Broomfield is an affluent Denver suburb with a median household income of $80,430 a year. Beyond the numbers, Broomfield is my hometown where I spent my first 18 years of life. I graduated from Broomfield High School in 2015 and will be graduating from Colorado State University (CSU) in the spring of 2019. As the years go by, I find myself missing the community I grew up in, the hair-raising views that I took for granted, and the trails I used to push myself tirelessly on during cross country. Broomfield may be a small piece of suburbia, but is also so much more: it is the American Dream!
